Guide for labeling audio data.
Overview
When you attach an audio dataset to a project, Labelbox will automatically adjust the editor interface for audio labeling.

Supported annotation types
Below are the annotation types that you may include in your ontology for labeling audio data.
Classifications
Classifications can be applied at the file-level only. The Editor does not currently support classifications at the timestamp level, ie. Agent speaking from 1:05 to 1:38.

Play the audio file
Audio files display in the editor with a waveform for visualization and basic player controls. Use the play/pause button to begin audio playback, and press the back/forward 10-second buttons to quickly replay or advance playback. You can also click anywhere on the waveform to instantly move the playhead to your desired location.
Radio classification
Create a radio classification by activating the classification question and inputting the answer value. In the below example, press 3

, and esc
to complete the radio classification.
Once all classifications have been completed, press e
to submit your label.
Checklist classification
Create a checklist classification by activating the classification question and inputting the answer value(s). In the below example, pressing 2
and pressing Down
+ Enter
on the answer values completes the checklist classification.
Once all classifications have been completed, press e
to submit your label.
Free text classification
Create a free text classification by activating the classification question and inputting the answer value. In the below example, pressing 1
, typing the answer value, and pressing Enter
completes the free text classification.
Once all classifications have been completed, press e
to submit your label.
